Jaksi is our first black Buhund puppy. It's a snap to tell
him apart from Kaare and Sophie, but we have tripped over him in the
dark more than once. On the other hand, it's starting to be
impossible to tell him from Anja, particularly in dim light..
We were going to name him I is an Old Norse word kol, meaning coal, but that was a bit too similar to Kaare, our other puppy. So instead we settled on Jaksi, which not only was similar to the name his breeder called him, but has two syllables and ends in an 'i'-ish sounding vowel. Black Buhunds
